Welcome to the “I Like Being Right” blog and thanks you for taking the time to read this and join in the fun.

The whole idea of this blog and Facebook page came about from a tweet I posted about political and current affairs blogs. People like reading opinion pieces, even if they disagree with what has been written. My experience of blogs, particularly right wing leaning, was that the people writing them were still out of touch with large parts of the UK.

I felt there was something I could do here, however with time constraints I asked for help. Step forward Simon, @LeCreusetFiend and Sian, @welsh30s to help. We aim to write informative pieces on politics and current affairs. We all have a slightly right of centre political standing but respect all opinions. What we will not tolerate however is abuse of anyones opinion. If you do not agree that is fine, just debate, thats the idea. If you abuse you have probably lost the argument and you will be blocked.

Coming soon, written by Simon, will be a piece on the “Innocence of Muslims” movie (if you can call it that) and a Q & A session with people on both sides of the abortion debate. Nothing like starting on easy subjects.
